1The library is my favourite place in my neighbourhood. It is quiet and cool inside. It has two floors and lots of windows, so the light is bright. There are many books on the long shelves. The librarians are kind and helpful. I visit the library every Saturday morning with my brother.
2In the library, I read storybooks and comics. I sit near the window and read slowly. Sometimes I borrow two books and take them home. My brother reads picture books and magazines. At noon, we go home for lunch and come back for more stories. We always keep our voices down and put the books back neatly.
3After reading, I write a sentence about the story in my notebook. I put a capital letter at the start of my sentence and a full stop at the end. Miss Chan says my grammar is getting better every week. I always check my spelling before I close my book. One day, I will write a paragraph about my favourite library.

3逐步講解 Steps
- 句子架構：主語+動詞+受詞舉個例子：I read books. 主語（I）加動詞（read）加受詞（books），最簡單的完整句子就齊了。英文句子幾乎都要有主語與動詞，兩者缺一不可；檢查句子是否完整，可以問兩個問題：誰在做？做了什麼？兩個都有答案，句子便成立。初學階段先寫穩這個三件套，再逐步加入其他成分。
- 加時間舉個例子：Every Saturday, I read storybooks. 時間短語放在句首時，後面必須加逗號；放在句尾則不用逗號：I read storybooks every Saturday.。常用時間詞有 every day、on Sunday、after school；具體日期與星期的第一個字母要大寫。同一個句子時間放前放後都可以，位置不同，語氣的重點也會略有不同。
- 加地方舉個例子：I read storybooks in the library. 地點短語多數放在句尾，也可以與時間短語並用：I read in the library every Saturday.，一般順序是地點在前、時間在後。常用介詞有 in、at、on，例如 in the library、at home、on the bus。易錯位是地點與時間亂放；寫完讀一次，覺得不順就調換順序。
- 句首大寫舉個例子：my bag 寫在句子開頭要變成 My bag；人名與地名永遠大寫：Miss Chan、Hong Kong。大寫規則有三條：每句第一個字母大寫；人名、地名、星期、月份大寫；I 永遠大寫。默書與寫作中漏了大寫是最冤枉的失分，因為內容對了卻被扣格式分；寫完要專門用一次通讀檢查大小寫。
- 句尾標點舉個例子：陳述事情用句號：I read books. 提出問題用問號：Do you like reading? 表達強烈感受用感嘆號：What a good book! 標點是句子的語氣記號：句號平穩，問號上揚，感嘆號激動。寫的時候先想清楚這句是在說明、發問還是驚嘆，再選標點；讀出來的語氣應該與標點一致。
- 寫完檢查舉個例子：寫完用三次通讀法檢查：第一次只看句首大寫，第二次只看串字，第三次只看句尾標點。一次只查一樣東西，注意力集中，錯處無所遁形，比把所有項目一起看有效得多；發現錯誤就用擦膠改好。養成這個習慣之後，考試時也會自動多看一眼，寫作分數自然穩定。

- 第一步：想好主語：我想說自己，所以用 I 做句子的開頭。
