1Last Sunday, my family went to the beach. The weather was hot and sunny. We arrived at nine in the morning. My father set up the tent. My mother put out the towels and the picnic food.
2I swam in the sea with my brother. The water was cool. My little brother built a big sandcastle. Two birds stood near our towel and looked at our sandwiches. My mother took many photos.
3We ate fish and chips for lunch. In the afternoon, we collected shells on the beach. I found a beautiful pink shell and put it in my pocket. We went home at five. It was a great day. Before we left, my father took one last photo of all of us. My mother said, 'This is the best family day.' On the bus home, my brother fell asleep on my shoulder. I hope we can go to the beach again this summer.

- 過去式讀法文章開頭是 Last Sunday，上星期日發生的事，所以全篇動詞用過去式：went、swam、built、ate。閱讀時留意動詞形式改變了，就知道事情發生在過去。這些是不規則動詞：go 變 went、swim 變 swam、build 變 built、eat 變 ate。易錯位：過去式不受人稱影響，不論主詞是 he 還是 we，動詞形式都一樣。

- 第三段：午餐和拾貝We ate fish and chips for lunch，午餐吃了魚柳和薯條，eat 的過去式是 ate，for lunch 表示作為午餐。In the afternoon, we collected shells，下午去拾貝殼；I found a beautiful pink shell and put it in my pocket，把一枚漂亮的粉紅色貝殼放進口袋。易錯位：found 是 find 的過去式；put 的過去式仍是 put，形式不變。
- 時間線答題按時間次序整理全文：九點到達，早上游泳，午餐吃魚柳薯條，下午拾貝殼。答 When 和 What 問題時，先在文中找出時間詞，再看該時段發生的事件，答案最穩妥。易錯位：When 問題答時間，What 問題答事件，兩類答案不要調轉；答案盡量用文中原字，不必自己改寫。
- 複述故事用三句複述全文：Last Sunday we went to the beach. We swam, ate fish and chips and collected shells. 第一句交代時間和地點，第二句用三個動詞概括全日活動。複述是檢查理解的最好方法，能說出重點就代表讀懂了。易錯位：複述時動詞要保持過去式，不要中途變回現在式。

- 畫時間線：nine 到達，morning 游水，lunch 吃魚柳薯條，afternoon 拾貝殼，把事件逐一掛上線。

- 答 Q2：What did Father do? 答 He set up the tent，set up 是文中的原片語。
- 答 Q3：What did they eat for lunch? 答 Fish and chips，食物名稱照抄。
- 答 Q4：What did I find in the afternoon? 答 A beautiful pink shell，形容詞也要保留。
- 檢查：四個答案是否全部來自文中原字？時間和事件有沒有配錯？
