1Today our class visits the zoo. We see a big tiger sleeping under a tree. The lion is very strong and has long hair. There are small animals too, like the rabbit and the bird. Some monkeys jump from tree to tree and make funny faces.
2My favourite animal is the panda. It sits down and eats bamboo slowly. The bird show is exciting. A big bird flies over our heads and catches a ball.
3At home, I keep a cat and two fish. My friend Tom has a clever dog. It can run very fast and catch a ball. I would like to have a rabbit one day. Animals make us happy, so we must be kind to them. After the visit, our teacher asks us to draw our favourite animal. I draw a panda with a big smile. I hope we can come back again next year.

- 第一段：動物園所見a big tiger sleeping under a tree 用 sleeping 表示老虎正在睡，整個片語修飾 tiger，即睡在樹下的那隻大老虎。The lion is very strong and has long hair 用 and 連接兩個動詞：is strong 說外形，has long hair 說長相；主詞 the lion 是單數，has 要加 s。易錯位：hair 指毛髮時不可數，寫 long hair 即可，不必加 s。
- 現在進行式說正在發生的動作用 is 或 are 加動詞 ing：The tiger is sleeping 老虎正在睡；The birds are flying 鳥兒正在飛。單數主詞用 is，複數主詞用 are，ing 形式保持不變。易錯位：不要漏掉 be 動詞，只寫 The tiger sleeping 就不是完整句子；另外 swim 這類字加 ing 時要雙寫尾字母，變成 swimming。

- 句式練習套用兩個句式介紹動物：My favourite animal is ___. 填上動物名稱；It can ___. 填上一項本領，例如 It can run very fast 或 It can climb trees。兩句合起來就是一段小介紹，還可以再加一句 It is... 描述外形。易錯位：can 之後用原形動詞；climb trees 用複數 trees 更自然。

- 句三（養）：I keep a cat and two fish. keep 解作養，fish 複數同形不加 s。
- 句四（願望）：I would like to have a rabbit one day. would like to 帶原形動詞，語氣有禮。
