1A Review of 'The Singing Kite'
2I love reading, and I often write a short review after I finish a book. Last week, I read a book called 'The Singing Kite', written by Jack Chan. It is a story book for young readers, with lovely pictures on every page. It is also easy to read, so I finished it in three days.
3The story is about a shy boy who finds an old kite in his grandmother's attic. When he flies it, the kite sings a beautiful song! The song gives him courage to talk to his classmates. However, one stormy day, the kite is blown away.
4The boy searches everywhere and never gives up. He looks in the park, by the river and even on the roof. In the end, he finds the kite on a hill and makes a new friend there.
5The story is exciting, and the pictures are beautiful. The boy's journey is interesting and touching. The middle part is a little slow, but it is never boring. It teaches us to be brave and never give up. It would make a great movie too! I recommend this book to all Primary 5 students, and I give it five stars!

- 介绍评论的开头要介绍作品名称与作者或导演。例句：I watched The Lion King. It is written by a famous director. 要注意读过的书用 I read 加书名，看过的电影用 I watched；作品名称的每个主要单词都要大写；开头一句直接交代看过或读过什么，不必铺垫；如果有作者或导演的资料，补上一句会更完整，例如 It is written by Roald Dahl.
- 内容内容部分要简略介绍故事，一句讲清主线。例句：It is about a young lion called Simba. 要注意评论不是重述全书，剧情讲到开端即可，结局留给读者想像，不要写出最后谁胜谁负；about 之后接故事的主题；called 用来带出角色的名字；概括故事时用现在式，这是评论介绍剧情的惯例，即使故事发生在过去也一样。
- 点评点评用形容词加原因的结构。例句：It is exciting because the songs are beautiful. 要注意先给出评价词，例如 exciting、moving、funny，再用 because 补充理由；评价词要与原因匹配，不能出现 boring because it is interesting 这种矛盾组合；点评可以写两三句，分别评情节、音乐或画面，评论会更有层次，分数也更高。
- 推荐推荐句式是 I recommend 加对象，并可加上星数。例句：I recommend it to everyone. I give it five stars. 要注意 recommend 之后接名词或 it；星数用 I give it four stars 这种说法，star 按数字变复数，例如 five stars；推荐与评分放在结尾，是评论的常规收束；也可以说 I would recommend it to people who love animals，把推荐对象说得更具体。
- 名称大写书名与戏名的每个主要单词都要大写：The Singing Kite、The Lion King. 要注意大写规则是主要单词的首字母大写，包括名词、动词与形容词；介词、冠词与连接词通常小写，例如 the、of、and，除非它们位于标题开头；书写时可以给标题加底线或用斜体；漏掉大写是评论写作常见的格式错误，写完要逐一检查标题。
- 评分推荐评分与推荐可以合并成结尾两句。例句：I give it five stars. It is good for children. 要注意星数反映整体评价，先给评分，再说明作品适合哪些观众；good for 之后接人群，例如 children、families；想更有说服力，可以补充一句理由，例如 The pictures are lovely；这样的结尾既完整又实用，是评论取得高分的关键。
