Last Friday, our school held a Careers Day, and professionals from different fields came to talk to us.

上星期五，學校舉辦了職業博覽日，不同行業的專業人士來跟我們分享。

A young nurse introduced her profession and talked about her colleagues in the hospital.

一位年輕護士介紹她的專業，講述醫院裡的同事。

She said the salary is fair, but helping patients gives her real satisfaction.

她說薪金合理，但幫助病人帶給她真正的滿足感。

An engineer told us that employers today want workers with strong communication skills.

一位工程師告訴我們，現在的僱主想要溝通能力強的員工。

He advised us to gain experience through summer jobs and volunteering.

他建議我們透過暑期工作和義工服務累積經驗。

My classmate Wendy asked how to prepare for a job interview.

我的同學詠詩問怎樣準備求職面試。

The engineer said we should learn about the company first, dress neatly and practise answering questions calmly.

工程師說我們應先了解公司，穿著整齊，並冷靜練習回答問題。

He also reminded us that every job teaches us something new, even a part-time job at a restaurant.

他還提醒我們，每份工作都能學到新東西，即使在餐廳做兼職也一樣。

Wendy said she wants to be a journalist because she loves writing.

詠詩說她想成為記者，因為她喜歡寫作。

Another student hopes to become a chef and open his own restaurant one day.

另一位同學希望成為廚師，將來開自己的餐廳。

After the talks, I thought about my own career goal.

講座結束後，我想了想自己的事業目標。

I am interested in science, so I may study medicine at university.

我對科學有興趣，所以大學可能讀醫。

To prepare, I plan to join the science club and read more about famous doctors.

為了做好準備，我打算參加科學學會，多看名醫的故事。

I also want to improve my English, because good communication is an important skill in any workplace.

我也想提升英語能力，因為良好溝通在任何職場都是重要技能。

My parents say that a good education opens many doors, and I agree with them.

爸媽說良好的教育會打開很多大門，我同意他們的看法。

Now I have a clearer plan, and I will work harder for my dream job.

現在我的計劃更清晰了，我會為夢想的工作更加努力。
