1. 課堂指示開場Good morning, class! Please listen to me carefully. 老師給指示之前，會先提醒全班用心聽。Good morning 是課堂問候語，please 表示禮貌，carefully 修飾聽的方式。聽指示的第一步是安靜和注視老師。易錯位：listen 後面必須有 to 才能接對象，listen me 是錯的，要說 listen to me。
2. 指示一：開書First, open your books to page ten. first 表示第一步，open your books to page ten 即把書翻到第十頁。聽數字時要特別專注，因為 page ten 和 page fifteen 只有開頭音不同，容易聽錯。易錯位：翻到某頁用 to，不說 in page ten；聽得不確定時，可以先看鄰座同學的書核對頁數。
3. 禮貌要求重複聽不清楚時，禮貌地請老師重複：Miss Lee, can you repeat that, please? 句末的 please 不可少，老師會樂意再講一次。這個句式隨時可用，比假裝聽懂更好。易錯位：can you repeat 之後的 that 指剛才說過的內容；如果想請對方說慢一點，可以說 Can you speak slowly, please?
4. 指示二至四老師會連續給出幾個指示：Ben, please read the first sentence. Now close your books and stand up. Take out your colour pencils and draw a picture. 一個接一個照做：先讀句子，再合書站起，然後拿出顏色筆畫畫。易錯位：Now、Then 這類詞標示次序，聽到就知道進行到哪一步，做一步等一步。
5. 自由發問想徵求許可就用 Can I 加動詞：Can I draw a dog, Miss Lee? 老師回答 Of course, Ken. Draw anything you like. 許可你畫任何喜歡的東西。舉手發問是課堂權利，不要怕問。易錯位：Can I 後面跟原形動詞 draw；表示許可常用 Of course、Sure，婉轉拒絕則說 I am afraid not。
6. 收拾指示活動結束有收拾指示：Put your pictures on my desk and sit down，把畫放在老師桌上然後坐下；Put away your colour pencils，把顏色筆收好。put away 表示收拾、放回原處，是常用的短語動詞。易錯位：put away 之後接收好的東西；放的位置用介詞分清，on my desk 是放上，in your bag 是放進。
7. 全班齊讀Let us read the new words together. Ready? One, two, three! 老師數三聲之後，全班齊聲讀出生字：Rabbit, tiger, lion, panda! let us 表示提議大家一起做，together 放在句尾加強共同的意思。易錯位：let us 後面用原形動詞 read；齊讀時跟著大家的節奏，不要搶拍也不要落後。
