3逐步講解 Steps
- 指示常用字課室裡的指示常用五個短語：stand up（站起來）、sit down（坐下）、open（打開）、close（合上）、point to（指向）。先把這五個記熟，聽到就能馬上做出動作。一邊聽一邊做動作來記憶，比只看書背誦牢固得多。記這五個短語時配上動作練習：說到哪個短語，就做出哪個動作；動作與語言連結起來，反應自然越來越快。
- please 有禮貌老師說 Stand up, please.（請站起來）。講指示時加上 please，聽的人覺得舒服，也顯得有禮貌。please 可以放在句尾，也可以放在句首：Please open your book. 學會加上這一個字，說出來的語氣立刻溫和起來。同學之間互相請求時也可以用 please，例如 Pass me the book, please.；有禮貌的請求，對方更樂意幫忙。
- 聽完整句才行動Open your book and point to the cat.（打開書，指向貓）這一句有兩個動作：先打開書，再指向貓。聽指示要聽完整句才行動，先數一數有幾個動作，再做齊所有動作。聽到一半就動手，往往會漏掉後面的一半。練習時可以請同學連續給出兩三個指示，自己逐項記住再做；做完請對方核對，漏了哪一項就重做一次。
- 不明白就問聽不清楚或者不明白時，要說 Pardon, please?（請再說一次），請對方重複一遍，千萬不要亂猜亂做。先問清楚才行動，是認真學習的表現，老師和同學都樂意再講一次。大膽開口問，英語才會進步得快。除了 Pardon, please?，還可以說 Can you say it again, please?；開口請對方重複一次，好過胡亂猜測。
- Repeat after me老師說 Repeat after me: goodbye, Ben!（跟我讀：再見，Ben）。repeat after me 就是叫你跟著讀一次，學生接著說 Goodbye, Amy!。這個練習可以訓練發音和語調：聽一次、讀一次，嘴巴就記住了整句的節奏。跟讀時留意句子哪個字讀得重一些，模仿語調的升降；語調自然，別人聽起來就更舒服。
- 回應讚美做得好時會聽到 Well done!（做得好）或者 You follow every instruction very well.（每個指示你都跟得很好）。聽到讚美要答 Thank you! 開心地接受，也謝謝對方，下一個指示就會做得更加起勁。聽到讚美除了答 Thank you，還可以加一句 I am glad.（我很高興）；簡單一句回應，交談就更有來有往。
- 兩人練習兩人一組練習：一人講指示，另一人做動作：Stand up.（站起來）接著 Open your book.（打開書）再 Point to the cat.（指向貓）最後 Sit down.（坐下）。做完一輪就交換角色，輪流講、輪流做，兩個人都得到練習。出題的人可以逐次增加難度，由一個動作加到兩三個動作；做得越多而不出錯，聽力就進步得越快。
5例題示範 Example
聽指示做動作：把四個指示照著做完，再說出動作動詞。
- 聽第一個指示：Stand up, please.（請站起來），聽到馬上站起來。
- 聽第二個指示：Open your book.（打開你的書），把書打開放平。
- 聽第三個指示：Point to the cat.（指向那隻貓），手指指向圖中的貓。
- 聽第四個指示：Close your book and sit down.（合上書，坐下），兩個動作都要做齊。
- 複述動詞：stand up, open, point to, close, sit down，一邊說一邊再做一次動作。
- 最後互相檢查：對方讀一次指示，你做動作，看看五個動詞是不是都記住了。
