1Today is Saturday. I wake up early because the sun is shining through my window. I get dressed and eat breakfast with my family. I have toast and milk. My little sister eats an egg.
2After breakfast, I go to the park with my dog, Max. Max runs around and chases butterflies. We meet my friend Lily near the swings. We take turns on the swings and play hide-and-seek behind the big trees.
3At noon, we have lunch at a small cafe. I eat a sandwich and drink lemon tea. We go home at three o'clock. I feel tired but very happy. I love sunny Saturdays like this. At night, I tell my mother about my day. She smiles and says, 'You had a great Saturday.' I go to bed at nine. Before I sleep, I say goodnight to Max. Then I close my eyes and dream about the park.

- 三步曲进阶本课考点是三步曲的进阶运用：先读 title，再看 picture，最后找 keywords，并且新增第四样工具——时间词。P3 的短文比以往长，情节按时间推进，例如 Today is Saturday、At noon、at three o'clock，这些时间词就是文章的骨架。方法是把时间词逐一圈出，按先后排好，文章脉络便一目了然。易错之处是只顾找关键字而忽略时间顺序，答 When 一类题目时便无从入手；时间词是本课的新重点，务必圈出。
- 第一段：早上考点是理解 because 引导的原因句。例如 I wake up early because the sun is shining. 因为阳光照进窗来，所以一早起来。方法是把 because 前后两部分分开读：前面是结果，后面是原因。考试题目常问 Why，答案便藏在 because 之后。易错之处是把因果倒转，答成 I wake up early；紧记 because 之后的内容才是原因，答题时整句引用最稳妥，例如 Because the sun is shining. 因果分明，分数便稳。
- 第一段下：早餐考点是处理段落中的新词。例如 I eat breakfast with my family. I have toast and milk. toast 是多士，属于新字。方法是一边读一边把生词圈出，先从插图或上下文猜测意思，然后查证，最后抄进生词簿，日后温习便有材料。易错之处是遇见生词便跳过整句，结果漏掉重要资料；正确的态度是圈出生词、推测词义、继续读下去，读完全文再回头处理生词，阅读的流畅与词汇的积累便可兼得。
- 第二段：公园考点是从较长的段落中找出人物与动作。例如 I go to the park with my dog, Max. Max runs around and chases butterflies. 小狗 Max 追蝴蝶，画面立刻浮现。我们又在 swings（秋千）附近遇到 Lily，两人 take turns 轮流玩。方法是一边读一边把人名圈出：Max、Lily，再把各人的动作连起来，情节便清楚。易错之处是把 take turns 解错，它是轮流之意；圈出生词并联系上下文，词义便自然明白。
- 第三段：午餐和归家考点是依时间词整理段落资料。At noon, we have lunch at a small cafe. I eat a sandwich and drink lemon tea. We go home at three o'clock. I feel tired but very happy. 正午在小咖啡店吃午餐，三时回家，一天的情节有头有尾。方法是用时间词做笔记标题：At noon 之下记饮食，at three o'clock 之下记回家。易错之处是忽略 but 之后的转折：tired but very happy 是又累又开心，两种感受并存，读时宜念出转折的语气。
- 用时间词答题考点是按疑问词定位答案。问 When do they go home? 便找 at three o'clock；问 Where do they have lunch? 便找 at a small cafe。方法是先辨认疑问词：when 问时间，where 问地点，what 问事物，who 问人物，然后带著疑问词回文中扫描，答案句子自然现形。易错之处是不看疑问词便乱找一通，把地点答成时间；先审题、后定位，是阅读答题的固定步骤，练熟了速度便快，准确也高。
- 讲一次给人听考点是用自己的话复述全篇。例如：On Saturday I wake up early, go to the park with Max, have lunch at a cafe and go home at three. 一口气把一天讲完，既练口语，也检查自己是否真正读懂。方法是按时间词的次序串连事件，每件事一句，次序分明。易错之处是复述时次序颠倒或漏掉事件；先闭上眼睛，把时间线由早到晚想一遍，再开口复述，内容便完整而有条理，听的人也跟得明白。
